Fertilizer Effect and Benefits
Nitrogen fertilizer with sulphur N-27 is designed for crops with a high sulphur demand: winter and spring oilseed rape, sugar and fodder beet, winter and spring wheat, barley, perennial grasses, cabbage and other vegetables, fruit trees, and shrubs. Applying the fertilizer before sowing or planting extends the growing season.
Field trials of nitrogen fertilizer with sulphur were conducted in 2020 by the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry and the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. Fertilizer spreadability tests were carried out jointly with Danish agricultural equipment manufacturer Amazone GmbH and the Danish Agricultural Institute using sulphur spreadability testing equipment from Horsens. The trials confirmed that, when suitable spreaders are used, Lithuanian nitrogen fertilizer with sulphur and calcium can be spread evenly over distances of up to 45 metres.
