Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN)

Fertilizer Effect and Benefits

Calcium ammonium nitrate is absorbed quickly and efficiently by plants. Calcium and magnesium are especially important for vital plant functions.

When fertilized with calcium ammonium nitrate, plants develop a larger leaf surface area, acquire their characteristic green color, and produce 5–20% higher and better-quality yields.

Long-term use of this fertilizer does not acidify the soil and does not reduce its biological activity. In addition to nitrogen, it supplies magnesium and calcium, which are often lacking in depleted or acidic soils.

  • Does not acidify the soil
  • Does not reduce soil biological activity
  • Particularly suitable for light and acidic soils
  • Helps plants develop a larger leaf surface area and achieve a healthy green color
  • Enhances plant nutrition with magnesium and calcium, which are often deficient in depleted and acidic soils
  • Nitrogen is readily available to plants and helps slow plant aging processes
